Many people who apply for a green card need to be able to work or travel while they are waiting for their legal permanent residence status. DC Court Orders DACA Restarted but Appeals Pending

On Friday, August 10, 2018, The DC DIstrict Court ordered the Trump Administration to restart the DACA program by August 23, 2018. However, the government has 20 days to appeal this decision, and Attorney General, Jeff Sessions, has implied that he will be appealing. In the meantime, several other courts are considering similar lawsuits against the administration for it's order back in September 2017 to end the DACA program.
