Supreme Court Agrees to Hear DACA Challenge

On June 28, 2019, the Supreme Court agreed to hear oral arguments on all the pending court cases challenging the President's termination of the DACA program. The Court is expected to issue a ruling after the oral arguments, likely sometime in the first half of 2020.

Until the Supreme Court makes a decision, individuals who have previously been granted DACA protection, and are still eligible for DACA, can file renewals. These renewals are being granted for two year periods. This is true, even if your current DACA has not expired.

With the Supreme Court decision looming, now is a good time to look at whether you are eligible to file for a renewal of DACA and work permission, to ensure protection as far into the future as possible.
